Whilst so many knew Stan through his deeply held beliefs and civic involvement I knew him as my Cousin through our shared paternal Grandfather. His love of genealogy enabled him to explore those who made up that patchwork of often disparate people and their lives who were a part of his family history. Stan was always interested in the extended family and took time and trouble to keep in touch with as many as he could. I was always especially grateful for Stan’s thoughtful contact with my father, his Uncle, during his latter years.

Stan was one of those very rare people who spent their life following their principles and beliefs without fear or favour.
